Was having a laugh with a mate at work & asked him the question: Approx how many chickens (adding all the bits to make whole) do you think you’ve consumed in your life? Total

100, 250, 500 or in the thousands?

I couldn't put a number on how many I've eaten.

As a child we had chicken most Sundays; although I wasn't a big eater back then.

I've had chicken burgers, southern fried chicken, chicken soup, chicken curry, chicken pasta and chicken wraps.

Could be a thousand.

I'm a bit sick of chicken, to be honest.

Gimme duck

Correction, 1680. I added Xmas weeks in to my formula, and those weeks would mostly have been exclusively turkey.

"It's a good question OP. I have no idea how I would begin to even calculate the numbers! "

You could take a reasonable guess.

Take your current age, minus the age you stated eating chicken. Eg, 5/6 perhaps ?

Work on the basis that most families will eat 1 chicken a week. Perhaps a roast on one day, and 2 days of leftovers in a curry or stir fry perhaps.

Thus you could say, you ate 1 chicken a week. (Ok, or whatever your portion size would have been), but to keep it simple, I said 1 a week.

51 a year (I skipped Xmas week)

51 x number of years

Not terribly accurate, but more accurate then wild guesses I suppose.
