This isn’t coming with questions about you. But I had a therapy session this evening and I’m so happy with how far I’ve come in the last two years. I only go once a month now which in itself is a testament to how much better I am doing. And I am getting back to the levels of confidence I had before my first term of uni brought me my first breakdown . Sticking with it pays off. It’s all a journey and I’m still on it for sure, I still have bad days but I know my worth again finally. I’ve cried lots of tears and done some shit things to myself over the years and I’m really really proud of me. I really never thought I’d see this day.

Anyway, feel free to share your Ws here.

I'm happy that you're happy. Therapy has such bad press sometimes but it saves lives. Literally. It got me through some very dark days. Talking really does help . So if I talk your head off, sorry, just me expelling my brain thoughts onto you lot

I'm seeing a therapist about my depression & Anxiety, but I dont feel any different after having 4 of 6 sessions already, he seems to read off his laptop, & given me a website to go on to check out things on there, as well as given me loads of reading material, he has told me about different breathing exercises to do, but it's not helped me in the slightest !!! I've had yo wait 6 years to see him as well !

I’m the same. I talk so much (usually an anxiety thing actually) and it sometimes comes out on here as 5 threads in an hour

I don’t know if you’re going private but going private was what made the real difference for me. Finding the right therapist and working with them has been amazing.

Carlisle usually

I'm always glad to read things like this.

I've tried the NHS routes and found them incredibly unhelpful. Just started properly with a private therapist that seems like a good fit for me a few weeks ago and it's still too early days to notice any change other than the dent in my bank account.

I’ve had addictions that have cost me more than therapy did per month so for me it seems ok. Stick with it.

Well done lovely. I'm so glad it's helping you.

I'm a huge advocate for therapy. My son had a really tough time with his mental health last year. CBT changed his life and helped him so much.

I'm so proud of him for sticking with it too and so grateful for his therapist. I genuinely believe she saved his life.
