Question for the ladies. What body moisturiser do you use to keep your body skin smooth and soft.

One that doesn't cost the earth. Currently I use baby oil after I've had a long bubble bath.

*Ahem* as if women only care about the soft nature of their skin

I use Aveeno moisturiser but was recommended the moisturising oil they have and that works well too and smells really nice!

I was going to answer, alas this thread is only for the ladies. Men clearly don't moisturise their skin.

This for me too. But sometimes skin is thirsty for something lighter and for that body yogurts from Bodyshop are just perfect.

Also scrubs. No lotion will do a job by itself. My favourite ones are sea salt based. Last time I got a coffee one - brilliant smell and texture but oh the mess of it

If you have a rough skin try something with lactic acid. I think Cerave (sp?) does a lotion.

I just discovered a lactic acid scalp scrub. Love it.

your wildest dreams,

I think you have to experiment and find what works for your specific skin.

Everyone has mentioned something different. I don’t use anything. I’m incredibly lazy with a beauty routine. I just don’t have one. Salt and baby Oil in my bath every night works for me. Those times when I feel my estrogen drops I use either a dry oil spray, proderm ointment or bum bum cream. Usually once or twice a month and depends what takes my fancy

The purply red one ? That's what I use, and some body butter in the summer when my skin is more exposed and drier.

Great replies everyone and thanks. Am going to experiment with different ones and get back to you with a review.

What about how often. Is my once a week routine enough. Or do you do it more often or less.

Necessary. Once I have bathed/showered, my skin feels dry. If left unmoisturised it looks dry.

Every day at least once. Showering or bathing removes 'stuff' (there is a proper word but I've forgotten it) and oils from your skin, you need to protect it. One thing I really wish I'd known was to moisturise every part of my body from very young especially chest, neck, décolletage, perineum and vulva.

I think a lot of my contemporaries feel the same. The ones who like me laid ourselves out in 1976 basted with coconut oil.

I use Nivea with coconut& Monoi oil. My skin is velvety smooth and smells nice. Normally get compliments how nice it feels.

The bottle lasts for quite a long time as well.

OP, if you can bear another answer from a man, albeit one with skin as smooth as a baby's bum, I'd recommend Body Shop body butters or body yoghurts. The former are much thicker and last longer, but might be a bit oily on some skin.

All smell great and cruelty free!

Best suggestion so far. But I'll probably start licking it of instead of rubbing it in...
