Tin town

For those with hair... What do you do with it to take care of it / clean it /cut it? As a follically challenged person... My routine is... Run a flannel over it.

Oof my time to shine

I use L’Oréal Elvive shampoo and conditioner. I use a tangle teaser to comb it wet. Leave it to dry naturally. I then ponytail it for work or straighten or curl it for specials and use argan oil heat defence spray and a salon bought heat protector. I only ever brush it if I absolutely have to and use a denman brush to straighten it.

I visit the hairdresser every 6-8 weeks to have the colour done and have the tiniest amount trimmed off twice a year

I also take huge amounts of biotin in gummy form

I have long hair. I wash it every other day, let it air dry and then clip it up. It's rare I even brush it. I know I know. But it's clipped up 99% of the time so noones gonna know... Noones gonna know.

I did cut it shorter than normal last year (or the year before?) and donated 15 inches to a charity to make wigs for children

I might do it again when I get sick of my long hair.

It gets a cut every two month.

A 2 in 1 shampoo thingy, shower dry. A comb and then a shitload of product to keep it still.

Two weekly cut.

Daily shampoo & conditioner then lightly apply product and quaff.

Haircut every 5 to 6 weeks

Coloured

Decent shampoo

Decent conditioner

Hair mask every so often

Good products to blow-dry and style it with.

Good hair brushes

Take Vitamins

Never use too much heat on it or let it get too much sun as it kills the condition off.

I do nothing lol

I cut it myself when I can be arsed. I don't brush it, I comb it when I can't scrape it up in a bun without a bump. I might wash it once a week

Wash, condition every 2 days.

Comb it, stick anti-frizz stuff in.

Dry it for 30 seconds. Get bored & abandon.

Dye it every month or so because I can't face being white-haired.

Cut once a year.

So question for the boys, I have longish hair, and wear it down for meets, so for hugs I have to move it out of the guys face. Is long hair worn down annoying, or do guys like it? I never know if I should wear it up for practical reasons (blownjobs etc lol)

At this point I’m surprised I’ve got any left to be honest.

I cut it myself, bleach it, dye it, use rubbish hair products, fry it with heat from my hair straightener’s everyday. It’s on its last legs

I personally don't mind if it's up or down as depending on the style. A messy bun can look just as sexy and freshly done hair

I've been lucky enough to have it lightened twice this year. I sometimes sleep with tights in my hair if I want curls. And, that's about it. I used to have loooovely smooth sleek and long hair before I had a child but ever since I gave birth my hair is dull, dry and always breaking. *sobs*

Awww thank you Meli, I've never really tried growing it long because it can get really thick and uncontrollable. Shorter is just easier to maintain

Yes I have. I first used it about seven or so years ago and it worked brilliantly but I tried it again last year and it did absolutely nothing. It's like my whole hair texture has changed since having a baby. I might give Opalex a go but I'm worried it's going to be overrated.

Try the Shea Moisture manuka honey protein treatment - Just My Look have some for a reasonable price.

I know there is the natural oils argument, but if don't wash it every day it looks greasy... So I do. I condition about twice a week (I don't keep count) and cut it every 4-6 weeks. I use shit that makes it appear thicker as well because I'm a bit insecure

I have to colour my hair every 2-3 weeks to keep on top of my grey wisdom hair

I use whatever shampoo is on special offer usually.

My hair is very fine and due to all the chemicals over the years it breaks.

I get it trimmed every few months and I'm trying to get out of the habit of washing it every single day.

I probably should be on the collagen and biotin train now

It's personal choice and depends on the person's hair! Mine goes frizzy and static if i wash it everyday Washing it every 2 days is better for me. What do you wash/condition your hair with? You want to use natural products without Parabens etc which can damage the hair. Natural products with Coconut Oil, Argan Oil, etc

Get a cut every 3 months when it starts irritating me. Number 3 round the sides and a trim on top.

Wash it with vosene and let it dry naturally.

I’m growing my hair so I am doing quite a bit to it.

Wash and condition every week. Oils and moisturiser everyday. Water, comb it out etc. And soon protective styles. Wrap it every night and actually every time I go to sleep (even in the day). I get a shape up and low taper fade every two weeks.

Hairdressers for a trim every 6wks ish. Wash and condition daily with Aveda stuff. Whack a bit of anti frizz stuff in and brush then I leave it to dry (which takes about 2mins). Otherwise I do absolutely nothing with it. I've never dyed it, never bleached it, I don't use heat styling (or do any styling).
