I tend to enjoy the company of those with a similar sense of humour to mine.

It's important in every aspect of life.

Don't let anyone tell you that you do not have a sense of humour. They are generally the type that do something objectionable and then tell you to 'lighten up' and make out that they are hilarious and you are not. Don't let them excuse their shite behaviour at your expense.

That said

we all have varying degrees in what we find amusing and how we react to things.

Yes. I like a playful wit, when someone doesn't life too seriously and can laugh at the little things. Good with words. I like those with a dark, sarcastic sense of humour as well. It can be incredibly sexy when someone is able to make me laugh a lot.

And I get a little thrill when I like someone and they understand my sense of humour and laugh a lot. So yes, it's important to me. If we're not compatible humour wise I end up finding it a bit awkward and groaning. Not in a pleasured way.

I have a sense of humour, I can tell when a joke is a joke.

But then there’s the part where I imagine myself joking and some have took it literally and thrown me from a chat group *true story, so who was it that didn’t have a sense of humour.

Also, someone #they know who, has told me they don’t get my humour… is it lost in text? I dunno.

But. When I get them, and like their humour, of course it’s attractive. It tells me they habe a fun side. Can see the light side of life, wether it is cheesy/sarcastic/dark/risqué/childish. It doesn’t matter, as long as it’s not doom and gloom all the time.

Logically I have to say no (as in not necessarily). Or 'depends' if you'd rather put it that way.

Sure, the *right* kind of SOH is of course attractive. Humour is part of character, and people's characters attract by nature. The key is in compatibility though.

Our SOH is so integral to what we are that the wrong type is often a disaster.

Also I personally don't need to see/hear a SOH just for sex, so it's not imperative for everyone.

In terms of'compatible' SOH's I have to say that I'd far rather be with someone without any SH at all(!) than be around people purveying the variety of uproarious mirth some are habitually defending (often out of sheer boredom methinks) on Fab.
