Well I regret getting kicked in the head playing football as a kiddie and breaking my nose .. but yeah, I kind of understand the point they’re making.

You only get one go at life so make the most of it

I don't regret anything. What I chose to do in my life defines me. Both the good and the bad.

This seems odd to me. Why would you not regret mistakes you've made? People you've hurt? Etc.

Totally, this sounds like a quote that's more suited to being shared and forwarded (with some random background) on social media than something that is sensible or even meaningful.

I'd be concerned that someone who truly believes it has a problem with accepting responsibility for what they've done. (Not OP in particular)

Yep, 100%. I think you can have a perfectly full and happy life, but still carry regrets. They're not mutually exclusive.

I regret lots. Those things aren’t necessarily filthy,

Called it, just searched for this quote out of curiosity and there's image with his quote in the foreground and {a man on a bicycle (sans helmet), stars in the night sky, sunset in a mountainous landscape} in the background lol.

No, it's silly. I've done some things I SERIOUSLY regret.

Maybe it's only true if you never evolve, or take chances?

I didn't say "such a person doesn't exist". I said the notion seems odd to me. I'm allowed to find things peculiar.

"No.

Reminded me of a conversation with my daughter. I asked her if she would ever have kids.

She said: 'Dad I love you, so don't take this the wrong way, but how fucking arrogant do you have to be to create life? How did you guys know I wanted to exist?'

It's those moments that make it all seem worthwhile

and ? If someone regrets something that is on them. Not society to dictate. It's personal. Circumstances dictate the persons feelings. Can't judge someone over the internet now can you ? Choices. It's all on them.

"No.

Yes you may. Clearly there are those who will make a snap judgement on my terse one liner.

What I'm actually saying is that I regret the ••concept of having a family••. I have no regrets having my son, he's my world and much more.

But it came at a price, to the detriment of my physical health, mental well-being, a run of bad luck and life's challenges for which I was unable to muster sufficient prowess to overcome (unable to manage my sleep, frustrations and energy levels because of medical equipment [e.g. ventilation/respiratory devices, feeding tubes,..])

There are many who face similar obstacles and heartache, on here and in life extraneous to Fab. But how many would put their cock on the block and admit to such things on a public forum.

The first thing most people do is respond with a " "...

You don't need to give a definition of your life . Just live it as you choose. Never excuse yourself to someone else's feelings. You are you in the end. Your choices your decisions. Everyone else's feelings can fuck off. You matter.

I have many regrets in my life and I'm sure I'll have plenty more. However that's what makes us human.

Some things can't be changed. The past can't be undone, so I agree that a life well lived is one where there's nothing you wish you had done but didn't

This. Regret is a waste of energy, the past can't be changed. The best we can hope for is to atone for things that, in hindsight, we would prefer not to have happened.

I'd rather live my life doing things that bring me joy.
