Pile or loop carpets ? wool or mix or synthetic ? You go to carpet shop 100s on offer and still not sure if 80% wool is best for stains and things or synthetics .?

I can't remember the name of it but mine are cleanable (is that a word?) With bleach. Very expensive but owning a couple of gun dogs and having light coloured carpets it was worth every penny...

We've had no carpet in our house for years. Solid wood and tiles. The house seems a lot cleaner and it has worked wonders for B's asthma.
