What’s acceptable / not acceptable to you when you meet off Fab or elsewhere?

Kissing? Oral? Anal? Full sex?

For some activities you might want protection, for others you might not.. or you might opt for bare all the way!

But hey, it’s ALL risky in its own way, right, even if the risks vary?

So where do YOU draw the lines?

Me? I love kissing and giving / receiving the big O. I know there are risks from STDs but if someone is (outwardly) clean and hygienic looking I’ll likely take the gamble.

Not a fan of up the bum tbf and any full sex is *always* covered…

Same. I take responsibility for my own sexual health, but there's only so much you can do.

I mean you can catch things just from skin on skin contact... No one's going to wear a rubber suit... Oh, well some might

And I just wouldn't get naked with the wrong person these days. Soooo.....

But I’m the same as you OP.

I know there are risks to everything and I take my health very seriously

It's a boring answer...but I evaluate the risks...it's a responsibility i take seriously because I wouldn't want to put anyone I care about at risk.

But I acknowledge nothing is 100% other than doing nothing. And that's not an option.

"Nothing is off limits to with the right person.

I don't know what the wrong person looks like sooo........ Monthly testing....

Yeah, my brain doesn't like the w@tersp0rts, etc side of things. Like there is no arousal there at all for it.

Also my vag is quite sensitive so I have to ask people to not use spit as lube. Come to think of it spit wouldn't work for my butt either.

Let's keep the stink finger, stink toy. stink penis out of the vagina also. Sorry boys no double dipping.

Spit is ok on my clit, nipples and mouth.

Not really a swallower. Not sure if that's because most men I've been with don't actually want to taste their own semen on a woman or my personal aversion.

It's is certainly highly intimate to swap bodily fluids but as you all have suggested high risk.

My view is there are always risks. From previous poster. Yes testing is good. But only as good as day tested. You do not know about any contact etc after that day. ?

Condoms and Femidoms When used correctly, will protect you from chlamydia, gonorrhoea, trichomoniasis, HIV and hepatitis B. However, condoms don't protect you from all STIs such as herpes, genital warts, syphilis and mpox which can be spread from skin-to-skin contact.

What I will say is viruses and diseases spread by bodily fluids are much more difficult to treat and in most cases more deadly. Catching herpes is a motherfucker and yes, can't be stopped with a condom, but HEP B will rot your liver, turn you yellow and in many cases make your life hell, all because you didn't want to rubber up

The more you know

Hep B doesn't necessarily have to mean such awful effects. And vaccines are available

It was a less extreme example of a blood born infection that I wanted to use. Hep B vaccines are 3 set vaccines coupled with a blood serology test after 6 months. The vaccine success rate is not the best so additional treatments are often needed.

Hep C has no vaccine and no symptoms other than chronic liver disease. Both can be treated but is it better to prevent than treat? I would say so.

Not to mention HIV and Aids which are treatable but not curable.

I work in blood sciences.

Full protection involves having 3 injections of the hepatitis B vaccine at the recommended intervals.

Babies born to mothers with hepatitis B infection will be given 6 doses of hepatitis B-containing vaccine to ensure long-lasting protection.

If you're a healthcare worker or you have kidney failure, you'll have a follow-up appointment to see if you have responded to the vaccine.

If you have been vaccinated by your employer's occupational health service, you can request a blood test to see if you have responded to the vaccine.

The vaccine can work less well in people who:

are over 40

are obese

smoke

are dependent on alcohol, particularly people with advanced liver disease

If you have a weakened immune system or you're on kidney dialysis, the hepatitis B vaccine may not work as well as usual. You may need more frequent doses

Hospitals, GP surgeries and sexual health or GUM clinics usually provide the hepatitis B vaccination free of charge for anyone at risk of infection.

GPs may charge for the hepatitis B vaccine. The current cost of the vaccine is around £50 a dose and I think we charge £80 to £100 per blood test but I am not in billing so I can't be sure.

The information is mostly pulled from the NHS website.
