It's so sad, she seemed a troubled soul with a wonderful voice, 'nothing compared to you' is one of my all time fav songs.

I've done nothing but cry since i saw the news, playing her music on alexa, i know i'm soft and extra emotional today anyway !

RIP

Legend. She spoke out about child abuse, the Catholic Church and condemned the actions of the Israeli government/Mossad. Some People thought she was crazy but she was proved right in the end

One of my favourite singers so much more than a singer of a prince song. Loved that song but preferred many of her own songs - Mandinka, Troy, Jerusalem, I am stretched on your grave, lay your hands on me, to name a few

A tortured soul, especially after her son took his life but how awful for her surviving three children.

So sad....listen to the soundtrack of Veronica Guerin, another Irish Saint. The Funeral song at the end, 'One More Day' is beyond beautiful and moving ...written and performed by Sinead. You'll find it on YouTube and I promise you will be in tears when you listen .....RIP, GOD BLESS

Bought her first album because she was stunning on the cover. Liked a couple of songs.

Her live version of two little boys destroys me.

One of the first irish women to attack the church and she suffered for it.

She called out the evil.

Her voice.. She sang many without bands etc. Her voice haunts me that irish lilt..

Yes, she stood up against the church.

She sang make me a channel of your peace unaccompanied.. And in dying you are born to eternal life.. Yes her music lives on.

Mental health bi polar manic depressive.. Fibromyalgia did not help her. She was very much a lone woman.

If you suffer from any mental health issues contact MIND. Remember to always be kind.

I’ve just listened to this on YouTube while reading the comments from Irish people over the years who’ve lost loved ones. I had to stop reading as I was getting far too tearful for a man of my age

She did! My dad was Irish he was in care and abused by them. It affected him as an adult and had issues until he died from suicide. I do wonder if that's another reason why he loved her! She was played at his burial. I remember the stillness and that song so vividly, The funeral was in Ireland but he lived and died here. Irish funerals are so different! The coffin gets carried by family to the church and usually kept in the house! But because of how he died he wasn't sadly. This poor woman was trolled online and lost her young son! Hope she's at peace now and with her son. ??
