He's either a moron or he's trying to destroy twitter. X.com was stupid idea 20 years ago and it's a stupid idea now. Apparently Facebook/Meta owns the trademark for "X" for use in social networking. So yeah, he's a moron.

Because he's a twat that got shit loads of money from daddy's emerald mine, where hundreds of people worked like sl@ves to get the emeralds out for daddy to sell. Rich boy has had stupid ideas all his life but enough money (money from people dying) to buy whatever the fuck he wants, and for people to lick his arse clean. He made a stupid boast about buying Twitter which unfortunately for him was actually a legally binding commitment. The existing owners laughed all the way to the bank after getting rid of the loss making white elephant. Since being forced to abide by his own big mouth, the company has swallowed 50% of musk's emerald money and is still losing big time. More money vanishing every day than any of us would ever see if we lived 50 lifetimes.

Stupid rich boy's latest idea is to totally change the entire identity of the company. Maybe at least that way no one will notice when it vanishes entirely.

His choices will be to stump up a few hundred million for the use of the font, or to argue that it's in public domain - in which case he can't trademark it's use and everyone in the world can freely use it for anything they like. I had a follower base of around 35k I’m now down to 9.5k as I’ve stopped using it due to the ridiculous and rising amount of promoted posts (1:3 seriously) and don’t get me going on reporting various posts that are graphic, racist etc they always come back as ‘this time we feel it didn’t go against our standards’

One was a video of some one calling a black person a ‘f@@@ing N@@@@‘ and then going on to say that they wanted to kill them. That apparently is ok for Twitter that’s available for children aged 13 and over.

I regularly report pornographic posts, but again this doesn’t go against twitters standards.

Seems unlikely he'll sell it soon as he'd take a massive financial loss.

He's already taken a spectacular financial loss. I'm starting to think it's like trying to predict the actions of Alex Jones: identify the thing that the rational person would do, and eliminate it from the list of possibilities.
