What "unique" things to you did you do when younger which you no longer do as an adult? I don't mean stereotypical things like play with toys etc

For example I used to when eating have to eat each part of the meal section by section. Christmas Dinner for example, meat, veg, potatoes in that order. I'd never skip to the next until the previous was gone. They could touch, that's a none issue. But never both in my mouth at the same time. (Though I find I still do from time to time... I guess that throws off the the thread but whatever)

Rollerskating.

As a child I was actually very good at it. Tricks, dance routines, all sorts.

Went a few years ago and after telling my sons how good I was, I struggled to let go of the side!!

Same as me, that's how I met her. Loved skating, wish there were venues.

Cross my fingers for luck. I'd literally sit like that for 90mins watching a football match for example.

The temptation to do it is still strong, but the (admittedly tiny) rational bit of my brain knows it has no impact on the outcome...or does it?!?

I used to go out about 9.30 on a Saturday night and get back after the sun was well up on Sunday.

Now I’m usually thinking of going to bed about 9.30 on a Saturday…although if I do stay up past midnight, it also takes me until Wednesday to recover from my Saturday night excess like it did in my rave days

I couldn’t mix foods together. I don’t mean on my plate but in general. If I had a glass of milk for example, I couldn’t drink fizzy juice for the rest of the day. I had pretty severe emetophobia though so I had a good excuse for being a picky eater

When my mum did the washing, I'd snuggle up to the twin tub and enjoy the sensation it gave me as I pressed my genitals against it

I really had no idea what I was doing!

I didn't know that fear was called emetophobia. Do you still have it? (And not to make you think about it, if that is a trigger in itself!)

It’s a fear of being sick or being around people who are sick. I’d avoid anything I thought could potentially make me sick so food was a big issue for me. I’m ok now unless someone is chucking their guts up next to me but I’m sure everyone is like that.

I used to climb things……. Trees, walls, buildings, cliffs ……. I used to jump across things…… buildings, streams, cars…….. I certainly don’t do any of those things now that I am in my dotage
