Bless her for trying to help but my daughter whilst trying to help me clean has used a baby wipe (instead of my anti bacterial wipes) cleaned the screen on my TV and i now have no picture in the bottom left hand screen.

Is it something that can be repaired or am i just stuck with no picture? where she was a little heavy handed

Is it an LCD screen? has she pushed hard and perhaps 'upset' the liquid crystal????

Maybe it will settle back., not sure, good luck tho.

think it was more her heavy handedness and the pressure than the wipe

I use unscented baby wipes for cleaning purposes all the time, and cannot remember them causing any damage to anything I have cleaned.

Brighton - even Hove!

It's probably this. The screens are more sensitive than the old ones so even if she used a baby wipe for sensitive skin she probably pressed too hard and has damaged some pixels or whatever in the screen. Can't be repaired....built in obsolescence.....

Bottom line is your TV is screwed... Once you destroy the screens (or part of them) on TVs nowadays there's no way to quick-fix them...

Hope you have warranty!

Go for the insurance option. It's a PRESSURE issue - not a wipes thing...

Sounds like a dead spot. Insurance will cover it if you have AD cover, subject to excess.

Do you have a white wash setting in your settings .ido on my plasma it clears the whole screen from any writing imprints when ive left tv on pause.
