For one year? It’s essentially the most money he’ll ever make and then he gets to come back to Europe and do whatever he wants I can’t believe they’re even doing it. They’re giving PSG that much money and they’re increasing the profile of their league. Crazy numbers though

The problem he has, unless there's some sort of agreement, Real Madrid can't pay that money next year. And I'm not so sure the Saudis only want him for a year anyway.

How long does it take to retrain? Any good place for a free intensive course. I want it all done and dusted in a couple of weeks and hopefully the offers will start coming in after that. A couple of years at that salary will do me fine. Even one might do it at a push

I hear you, but an athlete or sportsman not playing with others of a similar pedigree will certainly hamper performance.

I did joke with a friend earlier saying it was all a big rouse. Mbappe would spend 2 weeks in Saudi and the magically loaned for the rest of the season to Newcastle!!

Start buying those no.9 shirts on Tyneside!!!

In all seriousness, I’d like to say I have morals, but 700 million euros is a lot bunch of morals…

I’d like to say I am proud that tiger woods turned down 500 million… but he already had 500 million!

The right answer is if you have a boy.. you want it to be a Jordan! I win!!!!!

Seriously….it’s just now a case of situational wealth vs generational wealth…

Unless your name is Elon… there is no way you can blow that sort of money… 700 million for 1 year, then because you are a free agent, you can basically demand a “transfer fee “ sized wage from Real Madrid!!

I would like to be mbappe agent… heck ill do it for 1%

It’s a short career on the pitch but the amounts in football now a days plus sponsorship deals means the money some footballers makes will be enough for 10 generations of a footballer’s family. As for Kylian Mbappé I think there will probably be some clause in the contract for him to go to Real Madrid. In my opinion to be a great you have to be playing and winning the Champions League and one or all of the Spanish, Italian, English leagues as well as international football something that right now the standard of football in Saudi Arabia can’t offer

Surely it's not just a one year deal. What in Earth do the Saudis have to gain from that? Mbappe will leave, and no one will give a shit about their league again

If it is for 1 year, then yeah, he's one hell of a businessman for what he'll be earning.
