Was it any good? I’ll watch Oppenheimer in a few days (although many reviews say it’s a bit long and tedious) and maybe Barbie just for the fun of it.

Oppenheimer is a dialogue driven movie. Fuck all actually happens in it. The closest to excitement it has is the controlled test.

That's not to say it's bad, but it's certainly not an exciting movie. It's not action obviously.

As for Barbie I'm not quite sure what the hell it is. It's a bit of a mess. The message is not subtle, women empowerment, is fine. But everything else going on around that is just sort of... What the fuck am I watching.

Its entertaining I guess. But that's about it really.

Because they are extremely polarizing movies.

One is a stupid dumb fun female empowerment movie relying on nostalgia.

The other is a Nolan movie about one of the most impactful moments in our modern history. A devastating event, well the lead up and the fallout of it.

Both of which were released the same day.

Also both original... Products were first released in Japan.

Barbie doll first released there. And the Hydrogen Bomb.
