Yes, as a society and with each generation we are desensitized to porn, but if you take a step back, we are desensitized in every aspect of our lives.

Look at movies in general, going back to when they first started being released and then every so often there has been a movie that shocks the audience in someway for violence, nudity, romance, same sex romance, gore, horror etc. When was the last time that actual happened?

How about the news, what they show now is so much more graphic than say even 10 years ago but not a lot of it is shocking anymore.

It is absolutely possible to desensitise yourself to a point, that real sex just doesn't cut it any more.

That's usually when people notice that they have a porn addiction.

Also let's be real: If you watch porn often enough, you need more and more hardcore stuff to get you off. But if you then take 2 weeks break from porn in total, you nut in 3 seconds flat to a nipslip in a movie. (exaggerated).

Too much porn is definitely numbing you, it just depends on how much and how often you consume porn. If you don't overdo it, it won't have much of an effect on you, but if you jerk it 5 times a day and always to porn, your taste will become really exotic and unrealistic, and no real woman will ever be able to compete there, because you won't have the same stimuli, that you got used to, when you overdid your porn.

Some people have erection problems during sex and can't seem to get turned on by anything, and in 99% of the cases it's because they either masturbate in a weird way or because they put the bar for stimulation too high by their excessive porn consumption.

Cut porn and you'll resensitise your brain to normal women. It's not rocket science or overly abstract.
