... toaster?

Is it girthy enough for a full four slices? Or are you happy with one crumpet at a time?

It can take 4 slices of bread or 4 rolls if you put the grill on the top

Only thing is when I wanna take crumpets out they don’t come up high enough to grab so I have to yank the handle up really hard and fast so they fly out the top then try and catch them

I found a girthy, deep, restaurant spec bad boy on sale for a tenner a couple of years ago. Nice big boy that can take four thick ones no bother. It's a keeper

It’s a game of necessity. Usually I get the plate under them as they land but sometimes they go off at an angle and hit the microwave. Only lost one soldier to the floor so far

It's a big boy. Can easily take a girthy slice or four. I'd love to upgrade it to a newer, shinier model, it's a bit bashed around the edges.

It's one of those four-slot Dualit™ toasters. It's huge but somehow still fails to accommodate the most popular sized slices of bread. And tea cakes and crumpets - don't bother.

I'm going for a cheap n' nasty brand next time.

Ours is a 4 slicer. It struggles a bit to accommodate the 4 slices though. It’s not very fancy but it gets the job done…sort of.

A mere humble two slice toaster here and the same issues as fluffy regard the crumpets Though can't say I do quick flips and acrobatics to catch them (oh how the mind wanders) I do have a breakfast bar though, so can sit and wait for the click, knowing they're fine and get the knife in to get them out and the butter straight on, so it melts instantly and seeps through the voids... (mind gone again)

It's a beautiful, gunmetal grey, moody looking 2 slice capacity toaster. It accommodates thick but not overly thick slices of bread and when I bother to make crumpets, those too with ease.

Could take 4 decent sized ones, but I only ever do one or two at a time. I like to change up which holes I use though... don't want to be used unevenly

It's a grill in my top oven.

We don't make toast enough to warrant an appliance taking up precious worktop space.

Saying that, the rice cooker, steamer and nutribullet haven't been used in months and they're still out.

How many of you with toasters remember to clean the crumb tray regularly.

4 slicer here, though it's rare all the holes are filled....

Definitely got the girth but not that deep, best results achieved when bread is inserted side first, that fills things up nicely and ensures when it pops everything is done to perfection x

I actually clean it out every time I clean the kitchen. Usually pointlessly because I've not used the toaster.

There you go. You found the way to a symbiotic relationship by having a couple of goes at a time
