I need genuine advice

So i messaged someone off here,off site which had there number, but now apparently this person is not who they are and now.

My issue is now that im trying to find the account and i cant find it, which im concerned about.

Is there any idea whats best to do ?

Was the phone number on their profile?

Don't call them again.

They may have blocked you, or unlos.

Keep things to the site until you’re sure about who you are talking to is my advice.

If you can't find there account they've either left the site or have blocked you.

For future reference don't communicate off site until you trust someone. You can report any rule breaking if there's evidence of it on fab. If it's off fab you can't.

Well thank you i have researched the number and its been linked with scams but im not sure if too call the police only because they said they was going to try and find my friends and family and post my name over social media

But the thibg is i havent send anything other than “hey how are you seen youre number on fab”

So just confused and worried.

Go unlink your phone number from any social you have it registered on. Use a zombie email for your SM. These are usually empty threats but it’s a lesson learned.

You aren’t doing anything wrong being on fab, frankly it’s no different than any other Sm people use to meet.

Is your phone number attached to your social media accounts? Such as Facebook, Insta?

Screenshot the messages they sent you.

Perhaps hide your profile.

Try not to worry.

Thenk you but to be honestly im debating coming off here like one this has shook me up and two i struggle to get meets off here in general like plus im afraid of going to clubs alone

Put your photos in friends only temporarily. Lock all your sm down as tightly as you can and try not to worry too much. I doubt any of your friends or family would be surprised to know you're on here, we have a son who's slightly older than you and if someone told us he was on fab we'd just ignore them.

Unless you've done or said something illegal or wrong you've nothing to fear but a slight embarrassment and possibly some teasing from friends. I would let the police know if this goes any further though.

Like i said the whole interaction is saved on my phone so there all the evidence just in case it escalates

The net can be a big bad world filled with a few a holes. 20 odd years of being all over the net we have found this out. But now it's just water off a ducks back to us.

Usually people just try to get a rise from u, scare u.

Our reply to them is... go for it, everyone knows what we do.

If ur scared of people finding u on the net our advice is .... get off it. Pure and simple.

Hide your profile for a bit. Take half an hour to look at this logically, in what way will it affect your life? The two photos you have on show could have been lifted from anywhere, you could always claim someone used them to set up a fake account if the worst did happen.
