Which cocktail bars would you recommend for a Friday night? We like live music (but where we can still have a conversation), relaxed atmosphere, friendly service etc.

Thank you

And preferably ones where you don't need to book!

I'd normally be found either in Thewlis, Angelica (though does get busy Fridays), Botanist is decent.

Power, Corruption and Lies heard good things about but not been yet.

Domino Club probably my fave, they do often have jazz performances and can be a bit loud if you're sitting up at the front but not too bad down the back.

I was there a few weeks back, we ended up down that strip near the Weatherspoons? Some nice little places there. But was packed and I hate people! Good vibes though

Dubai & Nottingham

Have always found Leeds city to be party central on a Friday night, packed solid with d*unken loud people.

We've been down that strip a few months ago for a meal. Was nice but definitely a lot of skimpy dressed, teenage d*unks

Greek Street was decent a few years ago. It’s not far from the train station.

Yup, after an hour or so we retired and went back to the hotel! my eyes were bleeding at the state of some of them! Hence why I don't go out much

Great because I refuse to walk too far for a drink and some people watching/wanking.

That might be the little strip mentioned above. It is a massive student city so there’ll be d*unk teens wherever you go.
