Once had a guy try and chat me up in a club who wouldn't take no for an answer and I ended up telling him to fuck off, only to then be approached by a group of girls going "Oh my GOD, do you know who that was?!". Turned out he was a famous rapper but I don't count that one because I can't remember his name. XD

Met and spent an evening having a few beers with Jason Statham in LA. But flying back and waiting for my connecting flight in London, spent a couple of hours having a chinwag with Cheggars. It was just after he'd presented that naked game show, so I duly tortured him, he was a great laugh about it though haha

Recently bumped in to Tom Hardy in a local Tesco too, as he's seeing a girl who lives locally. Also see Danny Hart the 2011 UCI downhill mountain bike World champ flying past me on the local trails where I ride.

I also get my ass kicked playing snooker with a former Grand National winner who is a mate, and I don't mean a horse lol

And I met Shaking Stevens when I was a kid, yeehaaaaa

I've either been lucky or unlucky to meet lots of "famous" people, but the one that left the most lasting memory was Kojak who, and I kid you not, gave me a lollipop when I was about 11. A true gentleman who exuded star quality.

as i used to go to quite a lot of rock gigs i was lucky to be invited backstage for drinks with a few bands inc paul weller and the rest of the jam,dana gillespie,"soul men" sam & dave,ruby turner,had a hug from usa singer ann wilson of heart as i chatted to her & her sister nancy wilson,one of the best though was nikki lambourn the singer with london band never the bride who has invited me up on stage at a few of her gigs and after one gig took me for a kebab before the band set off for lndon.

Arse End of the Universe, Cumbria

We get lots of comedians at our little theatre in Arse End...Omid Djalili, Boy with Tape on his face, Ed Byrne, Josh Widdecombe, Jon Richardson to name but a few...seeing Patrick Monaghan next weekend. Have met Craig Charles twice at Kendal Calling and in the mid 90's I shagged the lead singer of a 70's rock group when they played in town.

Oh and met Mollie Sugden (Mrs Slocombe from Are you being served) at local gala when I was a nipper

Samuel L "motherfucking" Jackson.. On a ferry coming back from Ireland. He had three huge black guys sat with him who I couldn't tell if they were friends or bodyguards. He said Hi and was pleasant enough but made it quite obvious he didn't want to be disturbed. Someone else asked him for his autograph and he just looked at them..

Bic Runga...she sang 'Sway' from American Pie. She fills stadiums back home in NZ and tickets aren't cheap.

I saw and met her in a local pub for a fiver!....amazing live and such a nice lady too

The other night I met Anita Dobson (Ange).

Through work I've met many famous people, Will Smith and family, many actors, sports stars, politians and foreign royalty... Some nice, some not so. However in the top few I would have to say Johnson Beharry and some VC holders from WW2.

Oh and some famous person turned up at my mum n dads wedding to check out the church....but can't say who it was....lol

Met several famous musicians over the years. The most surprising really normal nice bloke was Axel Rose. Bought him a pint in a hotel bar he bought the next round and only then introduced himself. Rest on the band and crew were there and I didn't notice! It had been a hard day, is my only excuse.

Met Rolf Harris an amazingly lovely guy.

Andy Gray and the other bloke off sky Jeff someone. Ray Clements, England goal keeper... well not now. Played golf with Ronnie O sullivan, snooker player. Played football with a few famous ish guys, Micky Adams, Steve Bruce and kicked about with an unknown boy called Alan Shearer and a bloke with a perm called Kevin Keegan...Yes was signed as a youngster at Southampton.

LOL. No, I used to be a bakery manager in Chiswick, there are quite a few TV and films stars around there. John Thaw seemed tiny in real life
