Just seen a few couples and one in particular that state they only want bareback sex with another male.

What are people's thoughts on this?

I appreciate the risk sits with them, but if STIs can be passed orally the risk may end up your way. Because let's face it, does anyone actually give/receive oral with protection prior to protected penetration.

My thoughts are that I wish people who prefer bareback could state it openly without judgement. If everyone is aware of how others play then they can make fully informed decisions when choosing partners.

Fair enough. However as you say sti can be transmitted orally so neither partner needs to have had unprotected vaginal or anal penetrative sex to have one.

Well you have the choice of asking for a recent test...or taking the risk. Even with a test you still don't know that they haven't had sex since etc...

Risk aware consensual sex with everyone involved regularly tested and knowing their status is *NOT Russian Roulette.

Relying on a condom during penetrative sex as a magic shield regarding STIs *IS* Russian Roulette.

We find the people who preach "safe sex" do not get tested regularly or even when they last got tested a lot of the time, do not know their status, and when we ask say "we don't do bareback so we don't need to". Needless to say if they can not tell us their very recent test results they don't fuck us "protected" or not.

Miss does not like condoms because guys pull too far out and can't feel it, then plunge back in with bad aim and hit the wrong spot. If using anything she prefers to use femidoms for penetration and we almost always use a dam when guys are licking her. She really does not like beard/stubble burn.

We also see it a lot in clubs where the guy will have a condom on then when they are close the "safe sex" woman/couple are happy for the condom to come off and the guy cums all over her pussy/ass. Then the next "protected" guy is lined up ready to fuck her, pushing the previous guy's cum deep inside!

I've had a few contacts where they state "safe sex" then when we get chatting further the bareback question comes up.. It is very common place, more than you would think. I guess as I have had the snip.. then it seems that bare is fair game. Generally, I play safe unless long term regular funsters.... no easy answer...it's your choice

We can only control what we do ourselves. As long as everyone is honest I am happy and can make an informed decision. What I can't stand is snakes! People who lie saying "I only play safe" then don't and don't get tested or lie about testing.

I know my friends, I know I can trust them, we send each other our monthly negative test results as reassurance.

I don't use condoms for oral. SO I cannot say "I always play safe" But I do test monthly including my throat , not many do. But I do try to be safe as I can

To each their own , as grown adults condoms are a personal choice between consenting adults. (Obviously stealthing is a different matter)

My sexual health worker has told me that while STDs can be passed on orally, in practice this is rare. It is significantly less risk than with anal penetration.

Therefore I'm happy to take the risk with oral, but I am not prepared to do so with anal.

“Safe sex” doesn’t necessarily mean “no bareback”.

For us it can also mean that we all get retested and not sleep with anyone else until after the results are in and we have met. It also means that there are endeavours to avoid pregnancy

Up to now we have only played with condoms but wouldn’t rule out the alternative scenario either

I think regardless of how anyone chooses to have sex, they should be honest with those they're having sex with. And take responsibility for their own sexual health - if you use condoms, you still need to get tested.

I think there's slowly less of a stigma surrounding discussing sexual health which is brilliant - I know that for me if I can't discuss it with them or don't trust them, sex is not happening. Regardless of how much I want it to.

To reach their own, firstly. But it’s Bareback all the way, for us. Test regularly and expect the same from partners. We may use Condoms as props during role play but really we love the freeness of bareback, and all the other juicy perks. It’s always a gamble, but we take precautions such a a testing and communication between our regular participants.
