Reports that a man from North Somerset, which is well known for its cider, has been charged for wearing a gimp suit in public. Are we fast becoming a police state. What's going on here guys. It's all over the news

If he was in a full rubber gimp suit he’d be more than safe if someone’s tried to charge him as rubber works as an insulator. Do you know what volts and amperage were utilised?

Reports that a man, presumably a man, wearing a gimp suit, mask and leather harness was admitted to Shakespeares Globe Theatre in London to watch, A Comedy of Errors, which many believe was written by Shakespeare himself. Some spectators were alarmed but staff said he was admitted because he was not displaying any offensive slogans or wording. Are we seeing the rise of the gimp suit as mainstream fashion ? The infamous Somerset Gimp was arrested back in October.

Though I did hear wind of another one arrested recently.

Definitely a copycat gimp.

The wider gimp community have condemned this behaviour and have tried to distance themselves from these rubber clad stalkers

It’s not fake, a guy in Bristol was caught rolling around in the mud wearing a gimp suit by the road. He frightened a lady who drove past, I think she was stopped at traffic lights or in a lay-by. Sounds like he didn’t directly threaten her, but the extreme weirdness of the situation terrified her. That and the ongoing Bristol gimp issue.

There’s been an infamous Bristol gimp that actually ambushed people and caused commotion at windows to get attention. This person was actively harrassing/distressing people.

The guy they caught this week was reported as saying weird stuff when caught. Along the lines of “I’m not the Bristol gimp, I’m not wearing a gimp suit.”

Locally the feeling is this is some poor guy with a mental health issue and the real Bristol gimp is still at large. The biggest 3 reasons for this is the original Bristol Gimp has a unique posture which this guy lacks, the mask is different and this guy seems away with it rather than intent on causing distress to others.

This is how I’ve best worked it all out from local news and conversation. It isn’t the actual facts by someone who was there at the time.

Avon and Somerset was also the stomping ground of the notorious Halley Horse Humper. There must be something in the water there. What’s going on Tom, and why isn’t it all over the news?
