My M5 has a 70ltr tank and lasts about 10mins so only use it on weekends and never in winter. . My new best friend is my little Fiat seicento 900. £20 it goes over half full and lasts over a week.

My Alfa enjoys more than a fair drop of super unleaded too. After having it remapped to 200bhp a tank lasts about 300 miles.

I wouldn't have it any other way though, I bloody love that car...

I had the 2001 model many years ago. I liked it. Trouble is I only had the 1.6 version and it severely lacked in power. Seriously drank engine oil as well.

£50 to fill my wee car up but my son's last trip to KFC he had a meal for 4 to himself, think that would push my budget a popcorn chicken too far.

Was that the twinspark engine?

They all like to use a little oil, its one of the many things you need to keep an eye on when owning an Alfa. Once you know their faults they're great cars and not difficult to own really.

Yes it was the twinspark. Always amused me, watching someone trying to puzzle out, how to open the rear doors.

Haaaa, I get that too. I love the confused look when they open the front door and look for the lever to drop the seat to get in the back. Usually after 5 minutes of laughing I show them where the rear door handle is hidden!

My only issue now is finding vertically challenged friends. You have to be under 3 feet tall to fit in the back of my car lol

Our Westfield costs £30 to fill its small tank (v-power) and it can be drained in 25 minutes with enthusiastic driving. Hence summer use only.

Otherwise -

2012 Mondeo £98 to fill, approx 450 miles worth.

Porsche Boxster £75 to fill with V-power for approx 250 miles.

Got sick of the fuel prices this year so now biking to work. One bag of Porridge costs £3 and is good for about 70 miles per week, seems like good value to me!
