I’ve been brave

I’ve just had a tooth extraction while being incredibly terrified of the dentist

This fear is what led to the tooth extraction in the first place (didn’t go for a check-up = decay)

Where’s my treat? I’ve been a very brave little dyke

Who else has been brave today? Share your achievements !

Well done OP.

I've been emotionally brave.

I posted a video of myself, showing the thing that I usually hide away because I'm self conscious about it.

Well done, may the healing commence!

I didn't do anything brave today, but I did something that put me out of my comfort zone and had me all shaky for the next 20 minutes. I'm definitely not an adrenaline junky!

.

I asked someone if they wanted coffee today.

They're quite stoic and not easily amused. You know, intimidating in their unimpressed ways.

They've been quite nice about it.

Go me.

You look amazing. I say this as someone who doesn't want to get in to your pants (not because you're not beautiful but because I like men)

When we have children our bodies go through so much and the emotions and feelings it leaves us with can never be downplayed.

You're amazing and I hope that it's given you a little bit of reassurance.

That’s what I said… nowhere near as elegantly as you but it’s what I was thinking

Thank you MsWyld

You're right, after we have kids we have a whole new body to get used to and all the emotions that go with that. It's not always easy.

And thank you _uckmonkey

I should have added that what should have been a normal extraction took over an hour because the tooth just wouldn’t come out

I had the dentist and the nurse holding my head and the student darting around trying to help; bless him he was so lovely during the whole thing

Turns out the tooth that was removed had severe decay in the pulp from a botched filling 7 years ago…it may have cost me £230, but I’m so glad it’s done and over, even if I’m in agony right now!!
