Inspired by a recent thread and video.

Watching said video (I'm not going to advertise) it got me thinking about a few other vids I've seen on here and other places.

When you shower, do you lather up?

Do you need those soapy bubbles?

NOTE!! lather plays very little to no effect in actual cleaning process.

I meant visible soaping and foaming side of lather plays no effect on cleaning.

Fuck the lack of an edit button

Yes I use my scrunchie thing, get it really soap and wash my body. I tend not to feel that clean otherwise.

Those scrunchie things are the dogs! However. One slight disclaimer. Do not, I repeat do not, use the scrubber thingy with natural essence mint tea tree shower scrub, passionately, On your balls or anus... unless your into chem play in which case its pretty erotic and horny...

I've started using a rough exfoliating body wash cloth recently, and it causes many a bubbly lather, it's sort of nice to feel the bubbles.

Plus my skin is crazy smooth now from the cloth.

We live in a hard water area and don't get so much lather . When we go away for the weekend we notice how the same shower gel gets so much more lather!

Oh that's a good point. Completely forgot about the effect hard water has on the effect of soaps and gels.

I either use a loofa or exfoliating gloves. Leather is unnecessary but I love it because I like how soft it feels on my skin. I just run my hands around on it if that makes sense

No. Soap that lathers excessively irritates my skin.

Chamois leather is useless for lathering but great at absorbing water

"NOTE!! lather plays very little to no effect in actual cleaning process. "

Now hold on just one minute. Science says it does!

The job of a good lather is to hold the particles of dirt. The dirt gets suspended in the lather. You scrub dirt off your skin and the lather holds on to it so that it can be rinsed away cleanly.

Science!

I feel an experiment coming on here which could be a lot of fun

I see you didn't extend beyond the op.

Lather does, excessive soaping does not. A huge suit of bubbles is no more effective than a slight surface bubbling.

Rumbled! I’m a skim-reader at the best of times.

We should do an experiment. There must be enough people of Fab who like getting naked and soapy for us to gather thorough and impartial data on this important topic.
