Thinking of going to get a tan but never done or been to place like that. Whats the score and do you get results straight away?

Doesn't it greatly increase your risk of skin cancer ?

If you want immediate results get a spray tan. Sun beds build tan gradually.

Absolutely yes it does, but if you are going to go, use a product that they sell over the counter (a cream of some description), and it feels like you are being baked. But yes Instant results. Personally I wouldn’t use them, used to when I was to younger to build a built of tolerance Up before a holiday as I’m very fair skinned but I’d rather stay pale than get skin cancer (again)

I used to go on the sun bed it takes a long time to build up and you have to keep going on it to maintain it.

The risk of skin cancer from sun beds is high. Do some research on this so you can make an informed decision

I had agressive melanoma skin cancer in my 30s surgeons told me high likely from sunbed use. I had to have it surgically removed , they also removed my lymph nodes from my knee and groin placing a life long risk of lymphodema on me. I had to have skin taken from my belly and that was used to rebuild cancer site with a skin graft, which is not pretty. Recovery was tough 2 weeks bedrest and then 2 months to get back fully to work and gym

The emotional turmoil of having cancer was sickening, especially with 2 kids

Definitely not worth it in my experience. There is a wealth of info online a simple Google can show facts, figures, risks. Skin cancer . Org has good info.

I don't bother with fake tan but that's an option. These days I accept I am pale and that's just me

What’s wrong with a bit of pale these days? T likes a nice holiday tan on me but would hate it if I was tanned all the time! We both like a bit of pale

Dubai & Nottingham

I love these places in winter in the uk , makes you feel so healthy , improves your mood and tops up your vitamin D , prefer the stand up ones without all the tech. Buy the gunk of Amazon not in the shop

Just like the sun - don’t overdo it and look like the orange women from boots. Be healthy and wise

South Wales

I love it and tend to go weekly, I use tanning oil's with zero factor and have made my way up to 15 minute sessions in the sun shower.

It lift's my mood as we don't get a lot of sunshine around here, used to try laying in the garden but having to lay around for hours and getting the white patches isn't great tbh and just too time consuming.

Cheaper and quicker just to get a spray tan, or even just bottled tan and do it yourself.

Exactly this. Takes me max 10-15 mins DIY at home.
