We’re always open to making new friends but that does mean friends. Unfortunately we’ve found that some people will say friends but do want more than that and it gets a bit awkward.

If you’re genuinely looking to make some friends you’ll do well going to clubs and social events. Single ladies on here might be a tad sceptical of the friendship thing

Mr"

That's a very nice responce as there are genuine people that are looking for friendship which would not necessarily find in their usual social circles. Of that is all that people seek, it's good to see responds like that rather than the usual, at best, sarcasm.

You mean my “sarcastic” response?

It bumped the thread and allowed a new audience to see it and provide a decent response to the OP rather than letting it die, so I guess it’s job done isn’t it?

The Town by The Cross

A friend is a friend regardless of gender. When I see a woman wanting a male friend or a man wanting a female friend then I cannot help but see it as 'more' than friends or at least a fab type friend. A sex provider at least a friend at best.

Yes I do have male friends that I don't have sex with but they were met and friendships developed because of who they are. Their gender is irrelevant.

No Dan, actually I did not mean that and had not noticed what you said. I was on about all the other times people jump in to judge, or be sarcastic if you like, and possibly shut up someone who may have taken them lots of courage to say what they said. And lets face it there are lots of times this happens on here. I just liked that particular response as it was quote balanced

I'm always on the lookout for other female friends. To socially meet. Would work better if we was local to each other.

Be fun to meet someone for drinks, trips, girlie lunch dates ect... it's never happened though, or the female half asks but it's been with a view to get me to themselves for secret 3sums

Claire x
