I'd be a lot less annoyed, that's for sure

But I'd rather just have the option to hide threads that I know I'd get sucked into and annoyed by. I think it would result in a lot fewer forum bans all round as well.

I only ever counterblock if I see that people have blocked me (I’m petty like that) .. random forum people that I’ve never interacted with have me blocked, I just counted (for this thread) and my current block list is 10 people long (that I know of .. but as I don’t look at many profiles it’s probably LOADS more

This can be one of three things: User's account is suspended by admin, user has blocked you or you have blocked user and I know 2 haven’t happened so by default…. Don’t know what I’ve done but their loss

Just click on reply privately when you see their forum post and it will tell you if they’ve blocked you or not. It will say ‘user has blocked you’ if that’s the reason. That’s regardless of filters.

To be fair this would be a good thing and you could block some of them on the forum threads. It saves rolling the eyes or worrying about your blood pressure. That's not to say people should not have opinions and good debate as that would be boring but some can be a bit despicable and I rather personally not have to see those. It usually stops me looking again at an otherwise great thread and topic because of their vile behaviour and comments. Thankfully they are not many of them though.
