Not only you are meant yo know where it is bit should check often of it works. As not usrd much can get stiff and you can't turn them and if you had a water emergency, you woold be realy in trouble

See... That is a really good point. If you dont test it work frequently it might not work at all when you need it to. Assuming you can find it in the first place.

Both the internal one and the external. Had to use the internal one once to change a tap cartridge, as the inline stop valve was fubar...so swapped that out too
