I found this, on an analysis site upon waste - 'the general consensus is that it could take upwards of 1000 years for condoms to decompose in landfill, even given the right conditions'. . (Wastenil) Most latex condoms aren't fully natural, as they have additives included, so won't completely breakdown. Packaging is also typically not going to breakdown. We understand from microplastics accumulating in every part of the world, as well as in our bodies, that we should be avoiding any use of products that contain them. | |||
