I love a five guys but it definitely isn’t worth the price. Almost £30 for us to get a meal each and it’s essentially just a nicer McDonald’s.

The UK version of the franchise is overpriced and much lower quality than its US counterpart, which is still nothing more than a glorified McDonald's anyway.

Decent enough, but I'd definitely enjoy going a fair amount of other places as my first choice. And that's even before the price factored in.

I personally, thought it was awful. No flavour to the burger, fries...although crispy, we're tasteless and nothing special. The choice was just dreadful.... and ummm... yeah, the bench seating... really very off-putting, as well as (not sure if it was delivery day or what, but...) the potatoes in their bagged up state and restaurant condiments were stacked up on the customer side, next to the grill area. So not impressed at all

I was thinking just grabbing a quick burger on the way back to the train station

Normally I just wait and oder get a pizza on the way home from the train station

But there’s literally ones just need to the train station so was just thinking off grab a burger and eating it while waiting on the train coming

Ooo it wasn’t the fuss that made me want one or anything it’s just sitting next to the train station is all

Normally if I go somewhere like shopping or sanua for the day I normally skip make dinner and just go in and order a pizza from the pizza shop one’s off the train walking back home

I just thought maybe more convenient to get a buger and eat it while waiting on the train instead off sitting for a hour starving and then another 30 minutes waiting on the pizza being made

Terribly overrated in my opinion…I would rather make my own for the price and time it takes just to season well some mince beef and throw in an egg to bind it.

I have had one in my lifetime and couldn’t quite believe my eyes looking at the prices and was left underwhelmed after eating it.

The monkey nuts you can take handfuls off to eat whilst you wait are amazing.

Me nither and normally I wouldn’t ither fast food generally isn’t my thing but was thinking off going shopping for something and generally when I do I normally just stop off at the chip shop on the way home and get a pizza but there’s literally a 5 guys at the train station so was thinking maybe just have that

As it’s normally a hours train ride home and then 30 minutes wait on the pizza then a 10 minute walk home to eat it

By the time I am home I am starving to say the least and to lazy to cook after being shopping so just thought good alternative

Natalie, get half a pound of best mince, throw in some lovely herbs, have fun shaping into a burger by shaping into lovely balls first then press top and bottom into a burger shape, grill it on both sides or on a gridle or pan, ptobably 4 mins on each side, stick it in a lovely bread bun of your choice, add some sauce you like and take a bite and Bob's your uncle. If you fancy, get some triple cooked chips to go with that too and get a bag of monkey nuts from your local coop and you saved yourself at least a tenner for a g&t later

Most things that are us brands in the food industry are it’s to do with serton ingredients being banned her but not in the states

Same with when or stuff gose that way we have serton ingredients allowed here that aren’t allowed in the sates

Nat- if you want to give them a go, have a sit down .. I agree with an above post, it will be messy to eat on the train. I find the shakes too sweet, but they are good.

They are pricy but I like them. I prefer In-N-Out

burgers, they are nicer and much less expensive, but they haven’t swum over the pond yet….
