Dolls! it's an old horror one my mum made me watch it as a kid, loved it until I went to bed and all my pot dolls were staring at me, my mum removed them and put them in the bathroom which wasn't the best idea I got up for a pee and had 6 dolls stood on the floor staring at me, safe to say I screamed and would never watch it again.

Somewhere In The Ether…

For me, probably based upon more the element of abject unhappiness as opposed to being outright disturbing; films such as Million Dollar Baby, Gran Torino, The Accused, Boys Don’t Cry, Monster etc.

Very well made films but I probably wouldn’t return for repeat viewings.

Bambi, it'll make a grown man cry.

Also a short amateur film ..Man and a glass jar, it's horrific and very very real. I think the grown man cried in it.

Also the Mexican drug execution of 5 women of a rival gang, not for the faint hearted.

Any of the so called New Wave of French Extremity. The most amazing feature of this group of films is that, despite pushing the envelope with the sex, violence and horror to the censor's absolute limit, they are still just incredibly well, made, well acted and impeccably directed works.

Most infamous are Martyrs, Irreversible, Baise Moi, High Tension, Frontiere(s) and Inside to name but a few.

They only need watching once though!
