Over the rainbow, under the bridge

Final leg of packing up the house. Surrounded by a zillion boxes and bags. Been at it every night after work for over a week.

And tomorrow I get to start unpacking it all again. Aaargh! Hate moving house.

The work isn't even completed in the house. Can't unpack my books till the decorator has finished so will have the contents of a small local library in boxes in the lounge.

Exciting too,

Especially when you unpack after 6 months and keep saying 'I forgot I had that'

Yep took us two years to get everything unpacked, sounds silly but we just kept finding things that where not really needed lol

Small library, oh the joys of a kindle or are these, what I would call proper books not just paperback ones

I hate my house but don't want to even contemplate moving because of the amount of JUNK we've accumulated. The very thought of what would be involved makes me shudder.

Mostly proper books but a fair few paper backs. Have an e reader for travelling. Lots of my books are academic ones so don't want to bin them.

You have my sympathy. Are you saying to yourself " never ever again!"

All the best it will be worth it when you're settled.

Actually we used our recent move to get rid! eBay and car boot made us about £300. Still got loads of crap to put in the attic though lol

I've moved 16 times now and don't intend to move again! With my zimmer-brain I'd forget what is where and in which box.

Got that beat. Moved 4 times in one year before I moved in here. Which is why I've stayed here so long.

Of all the life's big events that I had experience in the past 11 years, relocation from London to Wiltshire back in 2006 was by far the most traumatic, and I am still not ready to move again.

So good luck with your move, OP, I hope it goes well.

You watch what you let those removal men do with your loins, or you won't get any moving done.....

Good luck....!!!
