Do you think being in love with a sexual partner makes sex better?

What's your take on this ?

I think an emotional connection of any type is important to sex. For me at least. Love is certainly at the top of the spectrum.

If I asked my husband if he wants to "Make love". He would check to see if I have a fever.

I spent the majority of the last 6 years in love and making love.

It does change the dynamic and sensation, and it’s going to be interesting changing back and not having the love aspect

Yes it does.

That's not to say mind blowing sex can't happen without love.

For me being in love makes it more intense he makes me feel super safe so I'm more experimental I've done things I've never done before

Absolutely not, providing the chemistry and connection is present, I don’t need to feel any love whatever…

I love my right hand but don't care for or use my left as much in daily life.

I can testify that masturbating does feel better with my lovely right companion. Left is so unfeeling but does reach for the tissues afterwards so not all bad.

I'm a hopeless romantic so for me yes it really adds something more to it.

Feelings in general make it better for me and I embrace them all. Sex without any emotion isn't my style really.

Lust on its own can also be incredible. It's just more likely to fizzle out when the novelty wears off. Love can feed lust though and make it last so the dream scenario is both.

Oh my goodness yes it does, I've only experienced it with one person a long time ago and the sex was amazing. Im much more adventurous when that connection is there. Don't think it will ever happen again.

Somewhere In The Ether…

For me, absolutely; The emotional connection serves to augment the physical connection ten fold.

The intensity is efficaciously magnified as a result.

I’ve only been in love once and she didn’t let me have sex with her because she said I was too small…so i don’t know.

I know it sounds cheesey but... making love with the person I love is VERY different to just having sex with somebody else.

Absolutely it does.

Having that connection and time to learn their bodies makes for much more intense orgasms. (For me anyway)

Love? Possibly. For me personally, any form of emotional connection intensifies it - it doesn't have to be love but some sort of bond? I'm perhaps not explaining this very well.

I think when you have that connection with another, you're able to relax more. Be more you, more open to expressing yourself. Even when it comes to penetrative sex - that level of intimacy, of caring about another makes it all so much more... erotic.

I'm demisexual so it undoubtedly affects how I see this.

Yes 100%

Nobody comes close to giving me the sex my husband does. It can't be done. It's that emotional connection, trust, I get excited when he gets excited... I'm totally relaxed and comfortable when hubby fucks me in the comfort of our bed in our home
