If my dad would let me I would complain about the service he's receiving from the NHS but he won't.

Some individuals within the NHS are very caring but some are basically just ticking boxes and following procedures without taking the person they're treating into consideration. In the time I've been involved with my parent's medical care I've seen a huge increase in this attitude.

The signposting revolving door is real.

In the end they tell you to go to A&E and when you get there they ask why you are here and say the waiting time is 12 hours.

Actually the main trigger of my PTSD. The entire process and the worst is being in a&e. So I end up sitting there having flashbacks, hyper-aroused. Whilst trying not to be 'rude' to staff because they have 'zero tolerance.'

And they usually do have absolutely no tolerance or understanding of MH issues. The most I have managed is 2 hours before having to leave. By that time I am completely messed up.

So I don't bother making the call anymore. Just take a bunch of pain killers and sedate myself.

It's far worse than that unfortunately and causing huge mental issues to prople on top of their problem they want attention to. But don't worry, there was a similar thread not so long ago where we were all given lectures on the fact we should have been investing in private health care. I despair as I have been helping elderly friends and after the issues nearly killed them before receiving any attention and very zerious complaints on their behalf are slowly getting somewhere. We used to be the envy and now the laughing stock sadly

I spent weeks since April keep calling and calling to figure out with options don’t result in them directing you the the website & hanging up & finally get the right ones which then simply says they are too busy to talk , try calling another time and hangs up . They also don’t reply to emails , WhatsApp or twitter , they are trying to use chat GBT and failing miserably.

Awful experience Im so angry I gave in eventually and paid a company £199 to act for me & get through to them as I had urgent query. Now on my return I have to tick using an advisor which will flag an audit
