Anyone Spiritually Meditate?

How do you feel afterwards?

Me I'm just beginning and TBH it fully relaxes me but, nothing seems any different early days

Delightful Bliss

We incorporate meditation, into our yoga at the beach and negativity flows out, and positivity flows in, with the flow and ebb of the waves

I cannot do it. I’ve tried every which way there is. My mind will not stick to the task!

Same.

I burst out laughing during a guided one.

She lost me at feeling everything going up through my bum and inside me...

I just, could not.

It's not the first time someone's said that, different context mind but yeah

You should look into sound baths,

You would enjoy group sound baths.

sounds awesome. My method is imaging my breathing as a wave lapping in and out

That's a good way. It took me a while, to be able to breathe deep enough, to fully embrace the mindset

Getting distracted is part of it... Noticing where your mind goes to and getting it back on track. If your minds busy it happens more often. Practice does make it better but I think you'll find it will continuously wander.

That's my view anyway

Huddersfield

About closest i come to meditate is i know a quiet spot near a river ,like to sit and just focus on the moving water ,clear my mind of everything.

It lets me relax and helped me a lot when i have been stressed or feeling low.

If there has been some sub conscious connection i am not aware of it ,I just know i feel a lot better for doing it.

Not proper meditations really but I use the sleep ones to help with self confidence, emotional healing and other aspects of my life. I think they do help a little

e

Similarly I used to imagine the wave coming over a sandy beach as I inhaled a breath and then the wave leaving as I exhaled.

I sometimes listen to a nice sleep h/therapy session at bedtime if I'm wound up. Same one each time, once I ask Alexa to play it and either I was hallucinating or Alexa felt sorry for me cause it played 'orgasm h/therapy'

I let it play anyway

I find it takes me at least 5mins to focus on breathe, the mind naturally wanders but just be aware when it does and get back to the breath.

I've been trying to practice sun gazing also to aid 3rd eye meditation.

I'm not sure if you have experienced white light? I can't seem to hold this phase and kick myself as I know I'm connecting to source.

I do find being in a group more effective as the energy of collective minds seems to offer me a better experience.

On a separate note you may also be interested in spiritual bdsm.

You'll find a group on the bdsm site we arnt allowed to mention on fab.

Love the positive post op

Draw, write, do something automatic but that you have to think about. With time, it slows your breathing, makes you sit still and concentrate on just being. As another poster commented, if you get distracted, you start again. This should identify the distrations, so you can avoid them. If the distraction is from within, write it down, and keep doing this.

None of this is esoteric, or overly spiritual, it's more akin to eating enough veg.

Manchester (she/her)

I do mindfulness meditation. When I'm in the habit, I find myself more grounded and able to handle my emotions.

I don't do it for spiritual reasons or any other reason than mental health, though - and it's basic breath work (focus on the sensation in the nose, out of the nose, come back when distracted etc)

I do this also but nowhere near a beach. In a studio with 10 regular women. We bring the energy up through our bodies with our breathing. I always leave with a happy smile and sleep better that night. I also notice how I don't feel so good if I miss a class.
