Derry

Do you gather all the ingredients in advance or plunder the cupboards as you go.

Do you have the ingredients chopped and prepared in advance or are you a fan of the just in time approach.

.

Get all the ingredients out, make sure everything is prepped and give dirty looks to anyone who has the audacity to try and stop my flow by either talking to me or trying to help.

All over

It depends but most dishes require some prep amd always best to have done that in advance. If I have time, I like to prep everything, cover it all up and have it ready for when needed.

South Wales

When I cook (which is supremely rare) I get all the ingredients out beforehand so I know I have everything I need.

I do it all as I am going along. I’m a pretty competent cook so I just kind of wing it.

Essex

I wing it. I’ve usually got some of everything I need available. And if not can hazard a decent substitution.

(Sounds like a fab recipe )

It depends.

Everyday life? Wing it tbh, unless it's a treat meal.

If I'm cooking for someone I like to be organised.

This.

Which is why I don’t understand why people on house hunting programmes want a kitchen-diner or a large kitchen where they can entertain.

Keep the buggers out of the kitchen while I’m cooking. They can’t help. They get in the way and they see the weird way I do things.

Mayfair

I get everything that's needed out and prep'd, and wash/rinse at the same time, leaving very little to go into the dishwasher.

There’s some dishes you don’t even need to think about isn’t there? It’s just a case of turn all the pans on…. ‘grab this, grab that! Etc.

I do it both ways; bisexual am I right, sometimes I'll prep and have everything laid out before I start other times its a mad dash of chaos as I go and hope it works out. Which it usually does

Prep work is vital, keeps my kitchen running smoothly.

That and getting everyone else out of there before I start cooking
