Nothing. Give something away for free then it uses it's value. You should see the streets near me after food bank day. People just chuck what they don't want in the gutter.

Do I think our wallets should be r4ped to pay for everyday essential, rent and utilities? No but given away for free means they become taken for granted and under appreciated.

I only agree if it's a requirement. These places should provide them, similar to a work uniform being provided.

Everywhere else it's just sort of your choice really.

Sanitary wear, essential transport, utilities, childcare, petrol, tax and insurance should be significantly cheaper. Not saying free, but more accessible to all.

I do agree - I try not to wear them. But work do not agree with my preference for comfort and not wanting to shell out £40 for a bra that's actually comfortable all day

Water!!!

Water is a god given right !

So why are we paying for it ?

True fact : if someone knocks on your door and hands you a cup/glass etc and asks politely for a drink of water by law you have fill said cup !

Evan thought you have to pay for it !!

Water is free. Water is "god" given.

Clean water however, that has human intervention. Somebody is charging you for the service of cleaning it.

Go to the sea, go to a river, collect rainfall. You are of course able to try and clean it yourself.

Sagittarius A

If a technologically advanced society can't fulfil the basic needs of its citizens better than a state of nature something is clearly wrong.

Water, basic food, shelter, energy, internet, education, healthcare, mass transport should all be 'free'.

They are all economic multipliers and choice has far less utility than having access to them. Market completion offers no value, and in most cases is practically nonsensical.

The rest can be left to the free market. Everyone needs 100s of pairs of shoes or a car with the same chassis and engine but a different badge on. And let's face it no one likes Burger King.

Exactly this.

Not to mention that the products would need to be paid for with taxes, so it would be another opportunity for corruption at government level.
