I said this on another thread but I'll say it again: it's always a deadline of 31st January every year.

File in August when they actually answer the helpline. HMRC send you a bill just before Christmas, you pay it in January and it's all over.

Or if you do it online they give you the bill straight away and you can pay it there and then

I wouldn't advise waiting this late to do it though, I imagine it might crash with all the late tax retuners :-0

I never ever can see why people panic and then leave it to the last minute!

I always leave mine till the last week or so, never panic, and never had probs with the site, but then I'm a pretty chilled out gal, its just the way I roll lol!!!!
