Good instrumental film soundtracks

I work from home alone, so like to have a bit of noise in the background. I've been listening to classical music and film soundtracks lately but need some new ideas. It needs to be instrumental or I can't concentrate on work.

A few I've listened to lately - Jurassic Park, Amelie, LOTR, Gladiator, My Neighbour Totorro, The Last Emperor, Indiana Jones.

I'm after recommendations please. What else is out there?

Oh I do this all the time

The last Samurai

A few recommendations of the genre are

Two Steps from Hell

Thomas Bergersen

Audiomachine

Immediate music

And so many game soundtracks are exceptional.

Mass Effect series

Final Fantasy series

World of Warcraft

The Witcher series

Ghost of Tsushima

Elder scrolls

"Try the Spirited Away soundtrack"

I have this afternoon

I like it. I've listened to general Studio Ghibli music before and find it very peaceful

"Last of the Mohicans too"

Got fond memories of laying in bed as a kid and my mum being downstairs with this blasting at max volume, so many times the film is ingrained in my head for all my days.

Great film

This is my general music "genre" over most mainstream stuff.

Heart of courage - Two steps from hell, is a personal favourite.

Beyond the Wall

The Michael Bay Transformers film soundtrack.

Steve Jablonsky is a great composer, along with Hans Zimmer.

You can’t go far wrong listening to their work.

Another favourite is Clint Mansell of PWEI fame. Lux Aeterna from Requiem for a Dream is chilling.

Is it worth looking at a list of Oscar winners for soundtrack and seeing if anything interestingly instrumental appears?

Even though it's the worst film in the whole series, the soundtrack to Star Wars Episode I is probably the best in the series - I love Duel of the Fates, one of the best pieces of John Williams music

Damn it! One last try…..

Recomposed by Max Richter: Vivaldi – The Four Seasons

.

Vangelis: Chariots of Fire

.

Vangelis: Blade Runner (1982)

.

Ennio Morricone: The Mission

.

Peter Gregson: A Little Chaos

.

Minecraft: I have no idea who the music is by but I found it relaxing when my son used to play it. Ah, halcyon days. Now, it’s all shooting with blood and gore and lots of foul language……
