Eyes; The windows to the soul, or so the colloquialism goes.

From that exquisite moment when you first lock eyes and feel the delicious spark of mutual attraction to the emotionally intense and incredible intimacy of looking deep into a partners eyes during lovemaking - eye contact is indeed a puissant phenomenon.

Good folks: How important is eye contact to you, both in general (platonic friendship/whilst talking to people you are not yet familiar with etc) and when with a sexual partner?

Eye contact is important. I always look straight in persons eyes when we talk and see who of us is the “Alfa” who will first look somewhere else and feel uncomfortable. With partner, we look into each others eyes and it’s sensual look

Chatting socially... not all people feel comfortable with eye contact. If I get that vibe I reduce my eye contact so they don't feel uncomfortable.

It’s so important to me. If someone can’t hold eye contact they aren’t compatible and in a professional or friendship setting I wouldn’t trust them.

Weirdly I get all coy when he is complimenting me and looking into my eyes - he has this way of making me feel all warm and fuzzy but taking me by surprise with his words.

During sex or when he kisses me he will occasionally hold my face in his hands and look directly into my eyes -the way they change can arouse me and melt me all at once!

When with friends/work colleagues I think it’s extremely important to maintain some form of eye contact especially if trying to get a point across.
