Pretty sure I got recognised in the supermarket at the weekend. Either that or I was looking especially stunning.

Message and say “Hi” if it was you.

Anyone else get recognised whilst out and about? How do you feel about it?

Recognised, or recognised from Fab?

The former happens periodically for me, the latter pretty much never.

I get recognised regularly when I am out as Linda, which is great

I never get recognised when I am out in male mode which is a huge relief

Someone thought they saw me in a local Asda.

I was near the Asda, but I didn't go inside.

They messaged to ask if it was me and described someone like me, with a child.

I thought I was when at the gym. But I'm pretty sure I was just paranoid after camming in chat rooms.

The worst was on holiday with my sons. This bloke sent me a message to say he saw me by the pool (recognised my tattoo) and that he was going to come and say hello at the bar later that night.

I was horrified, because I was there with my sons and he was a shadow profile.

I replied to say I didn't think that would be appropriate and I'd appreciate if he didn't approach me at all.

I then got a barrage of abuse from him.

Was still none the wiser who he was but when I turned on who's near to see if he was just being weirdo he was within quarter of a mile. He was a nasty weirdo.

I've never felt so uncomfortable.

It's like when people start threads asking if there were signs and symbols people wore to indicate they were swingers, would people wear them in public. Absolutely not, there are too many people with no concept of boundaries.

It's a bit stalker like saying he will come and say hello

I would message said I think I spotted you in the wild, so just a quick message to say hi

And just left it at that.

"Recognised, or recognised from Fab?"

I’m assuming from fab. It’s that or I had 2 heads.

Am now paranoid after the weirdo story.

It's OK we/FAB will hold vigil for you if we see you have going missing on the news

But to be safe I would barracade the doors and windows and not go out in the dark or to places were there is no public around

We had a message off a 60+ year old guy saying he lives on the same street as us!

We live quite close to a major shopping centre in Sheffield and the amount of messages we get from people believing we are either inside and asking to meet or saying they have seen us in there is unbelievable.

I sometimes get messages asking if I work at a nearby supermarket, I haven't worked there for 9 years.

But I've had a couple of people message saying they've seen me on the school run, naming the school too. And with no face pics, always ignored and blocked

I recognised a couple from here on a holiday recently, I wouldn’t dream of approaching them to say so though.

All over

You woukd think people will have the decency to leave people alone in their daily life. It's inappropriate to approach people like that or even tell them afterwards you have seen them imo.

I’ve Recognised others and been recognised. Best option is don’t say anything. I once got a message off some weirdo on here saying that they had met me (on a different un-named profile to the one they were messaging from) threatening that they were going to tell my family.

There’s some right m weirdos on here. So now all face photos remain private.

I got recognised walking past a pub yesterday - I “know” the people who saw me via fab/WhatsApp chats but we have never actually met.

It really is bizarre! People used to use my real name but then not show me who they are, I block them too, cba

I would hate it, they would get blocked... Even the ones who think they've seen me at the pub, doing the school run or on the gym (I don't do any of those things) get blocked.

It's really creepy to mention it or try and think you're clever for recognising someone.

We were out for a family lunch one day and overheard the couple on the next table talking about us.

The woman recognized Mrs C necklace, but they never approached us.

If you see us out and we have family with us, you stay away, it's that simple

Pretty often due to what I do and my face being up. Although often I am not told until I get a message later saying where and when.

I’ve been recognised on here by two guys I was in School with (well, they were a year above me). No idea how as my location is not my old hometown location, nor did I shag either of them previously (or at all!).

Gave me the ick as they sort of alluded that as they knew me I should fuck them.

I just blocked. I don’t do ultimatums.

Oh wow!

...

Best we had was a an old school friend messaged us, he didn't recognise Jay though but Jay recognised him.. so we hid our pictures and sent a message asking "does you surname start with..."

He blocked us really quick....

Jay was laughing his head off and messaged him on Facebook (yes they were fb friends too!) Pmsl. They had a right laugh about it as his friend said he was like "SHIT" and that he had gone to look at pics again before he blocked but they had all gone!

Got him in a proper sweat haha
