I watch it several times a year and never get bored of it. John Carpenter is a master of the genre.

When I was very young I read a short novella called "Who goes there?". I later discovered it was the...The Thing.

I do like a bit of horror. Not so much into the slasher movies but like an interesting horror. Visually I love "the cell" and "pans labyrinth" and the cenobytes from Hellraiser are awesome.

So many! The Thing definitely. And Hellraiser, and The Shining, and a terrific French film called Martyrs (although it’s a real hard watch) the original Dawn of the Dead. And I really liked Doctor Sleep.

The Cell! I loved that movie for the visuals too! It looked incredible, like a Dali painting almost at points.

Is that where he slices himself up as he sees beetles on his skin? Hellraiser 2 was great in places but got daft later on could have been so much better such a missed chance

Loved classic like The Exorcist and visually The cell.

Uncomfortable viewing . Irreversible and The Martyrs.

Also Nil by Mouth . Not so much as horror but a horrendous current of violence running through it.

Yes, that's the one.

I found it disturbing because (up until the skinless woman emerged from the matress) it was so 'real'.

Meaning that it's entirely possible there are poor souls like that, who would cut themselves up to that degree.
