I'll go back there one day as I really liked it, and hopefully before the next global pandemic.

"I have had long hair a few times in my life. And I’m growing it again. Just such a long process. And I’m struggling feeling attractive right now between haircuts. Anyway Men, how do you survive long periods between haircuts? What do you do to get by" I've got a few tips. Firstly it'll depend on how long you want your hair to be. But if you’re trying to grow it out and fast the best way to do it is protective hairs styles. I would suggest to get cornrows as they are close to your scalp they increase blood flow which is critical when growing hair. Well depending on how long your hair is I would say 8 cornrows to start off with then reduce the number to like 6 as your hair grows longer. Obviously since your hair isn’t that long I would say not to worry too much about the length at the back (hang time) but just trust the process. I would say to keep them in for 3 close to 4 weeks at a time to have the best results. Drink lots of water and use essential oils if you need you can take supplements like biotin they help with hair growth. As your hair gets to your desired length you can now branch off into your more favoured styles. I hope this helps x

I had my hair long only about 2 years ago so I am good for managing as soon as I can get protective styles in. And I can do a few myself which is nice. I have been using castor oil which works a treat. And shape ups and keeping my beard quite low so I don’t look too terrible. It’s a process but I get impatient a lot. Hence why I’ve not grown it again in two years.

"I find a good conditioner (not necessarily an expensive one, mind, some of the ones that suit me best were cheap) is a big help in keeping things looking tidy" For sure. I don't know how well it'll apply to the OP (or at least the products he'll use are different) but maintaining good condition in mine has looked like oil on the ends (2-3 drops of argan oil rubbed on hands and distributed - but I have wavy fine hair, argan probably isn't rich enough) and leave in conditioner on mid lengths (remnants on top of the ends) immediately after I wash my hair. And some sort of slip product (argan oil, detangling product) for when I brush my hair out. (Plus protective styles, but he's said that and mine will look very different to his - lazy white girl protective style is a loose bun )
