When you need to have a self talk ?

I've realised today I only address myself either with my full first name (no cutesy names) or you fucking idiot.. what did you do that for..

Shortened version of my name. I don’t like calling myself my full first name or being called it (except by strangers work colleagues or people that know me on those levels)

Yeah likewise my internal dialogue is “FFS, Dan*, what are you doing..” so I do use my own name when talking to myself

(* actually Dan is a pseudonym, I use my real name, Zebedee)

I have a bizarre friendship where we use each other for self-talk.

We both use our full first names when it's time to be assertive. Different pet names when it's time to be nurturing, supportive, fun etc.
