Me? It’s always been “scone” but my colleague insists it’s “scone”.

So how do you pronounce scone? Is it scone or scone?

Oh and obviously .. irrespective of whether you pronounce scone as scone or scone, a scone (or scone

) should always be jam first. That bit IS indisputable!

This old chestnut! (And that’s pronounced chestnut, btw). It’s scone, obviously. Any maniac who pronounces it scone is clearly a sociopath and needs locking up for research.

To confuse things even further, you should be trying to distinguish if it's, "scone", "scone" or "scone."

Scone Palace is near Perth. The Queen Mother lived there.

It's pronounced, "Skoon Palace!" (I think!)
