In Your Hearts

The Dutch Queen to abdicate for her son.

Should Her Majesty be thinking about doing the same anytime soon?

Abdicating in favour of the next generation is not new to the Dutch.

I met the Dutch Prince at the Olympics. His wife wasn't best impressed when I told her she wasn't allowed her drinks on the stand. But he seemed lovely!!

"Abdicating in favour of the next generation is not new to the Dutch. "

It's not unheard of in the UK either.

.

He did not abdicate in favour of the next generation, unlike what the Dutch had done since Queen Wilhelmina, then Julianna, then Beatrix.

Yes and take the rest with her. Turn Buckingham Palace into a night shelter along with all the other properties that have been accquired since 1745. Not that I am anti Royalist you understand? A Royal Family...........is just so last millenium
