Thinking about booking a holiday for myself later on in the year. Where would everyone recommend for a first time solo traveller?

Also any tips and tricks are also appreciated!!

Hamilton’s Water Breaks? *

Other than that, I guess it depends what you’re after - beach? City break? Lakes & mountains?

Maybe you can join a tour / group?

Good luck and enjoy whatever you choose

(* niche answer. You’re FAR too young to understand it)

Thank you! I suppose I’m not really sure what I’d want, apart from no beaches!

I’ll keep browsing and see what hits me

NC500? Some packages you can look at, if you drive obviously! I done it by myself......outrageous!

North West

I've traveled a lot alone. I highly recommend it.

As for places, Cape Verde and Greece are both nice.

I loved the Philippines.

Decide what sort of holiday you'd like to have. Then choose.

Good luck OP.

Depends on if you've ever been anywhere on your own.

I'd suggest planning the heck out of it. Have back up plans for all weathers. Pubs/ bars within staggering distance of your hotel. Choose your hotel wisely- near public transport links if you don't drive.

Maybe start with a town on the train network.

Look up gigs and do a weekend away around the gig.

Good luck.

I'm going to Spain on my own soon. Doing a language/culture course, just for fun

Depends what you want from a holiday .

I go alone on holidays . Motorbike adventures round Europe / UK .

Hiking in Japan , roadtrips across the States but I like to explore places .

If I wanted few party days , occasionally I do , I go with another mate

Stay in a hostel as you'll meet other solo travellers and think about doing group excursions like guided walking tours etc.

New York and New Orleans are good cities for solo travellers and Asia is very popular for backpackers.
