"I was so confused, I thought vampires were a band and I was thinking what the hell kind of concert is this." Nope absolutely need a fully paid up vampire to get anything out of me. There is a permanent note to send me directly to the phlebotomist dept and not even try in the clinic anymore. - Miss

"*soapbox rant thingy* Well. Maybe total and utter lack of it! Went to see the vampires today at the hospital gum clinic. Parked the car undercover and as soon a we opened the door hit with cigarette -and not legal- smoke! There are signs on every second pillar about no smoking on hospital grounds, respect for other patients, respect for general public, and even regular recorded tannoy announcements about following signs to smoking areas. Yet in front of almost every sign all the way to the front door people are sucking on the fu¢kin things! If passively aggressive but still politically correct pointed out the fact they're vile arrogant selfish pri¢ks you get an onslaught of abuse. The hospital here spent a crap-ton of money during and since the pandemic to provide a safe and dry and close smoking area. They don't use it and force everyone else suffer! Why why why the honest fuck why! Just to be clear this is all mindnumbingly signposted as no smoking and all semi enclosed undercover areas. There is no option to walk outside in the open air from the carparks to the front door. Sincerely pissed off " I completely understand... And I smoke! I always try to find a designated smoking area, if I can't then I find somewhere as far away from footpaths and entrances as I can. As someone with mobility problems that can be an issue, and painful... But I still do it. So other people have no excuse! One of my annoyances is that smoking areas never have seating. I've fallen or lost my balance several times because I am having to stand longer than I can.

"Even as a smoker this pisses me off especially at hospitals when they all gather around the doors, I hate the smell and yes I know I smell of it too..... At hospitals though people going in with all sorts chest issues, breathing difficulties the last thing they need is to go through clouds of smoke at the door it's just lazy and inconsiderate. Mrs " The only time (a long, long time ago in a postcode far away) I ever had a cigarette within a stones throw of a hospital entrance was a couple of decades ago (plus a year or two) when I was in for four weeks and the porter who'd kindly wheeled me down from the ward so I could have my first stress relieving cig in two weeks once I was allowed out of bed, pushed me five yards out the door and then said 'I'm going for a break, I'll come back in half an hour' - and fucked off. So stuck I was, in a wheelchair with those tiny wheels, abandoned in the middle of nowhere. Luckily it wasn't raining. But yeah. Every time we've been into hospital since, either visiting, for A&E or routine appointments, there's always been a crowd of smokers, some visitors and some patients, right outside the entrance puffing away under massive 'this is a smoke free hospital' sign. "Walk round with a CO2 extinguisher, set it off in the face of the peeps and then point to the sign. They might not get what you are saying, but it might make you feel better." Next time we're going to take the Liquid Ass spray we used when our old neighbours use to have techno house parties on weekday nights starting at midnight. Yes we're complaining shits who like to sleep, they would complain about us mowing the lawn at noon on a Sunday because they worked weekend nights
