Years ago I would walk into a spider web and freak out, now I simply brush my face once and carry on.

What, if anything, have you overcome since the last few years?

Speaking my mind. I can do that no bother now.

I have regressed in the dentist department though. I was never scared as a child and now I hate it so much.

I used to be painfully shy. I was too scared to walk across a room in case anyone looked at me. But I’m getting better at this now.

I push myself outside my comfort zone and do more public speaking now for work, still terrified but proud when I’ve done it.

I used to avoid talking on the phone. Covid era changed that. Partially.

I used to have awful anxiety. I hated people, couldn't cope with them, especially strangers. I couldn't leave my house at one stage without full blown panic attacks.

Now I'm not too bothered most of the time.

I don't scream like a child when a wasp is around me anymore. I stare those fuckers down.

Reminds me of someone I went school with, for nearly the whole duration of primary she didn’t talk. We were told she spoke English fine but we’re also told because of her accent she felt kids would tease her.
