"Am I being unreasonable and tight? I feel like maybe I am but what do you think? I bought a pair of Converse in January, less than six months ago. I maybe wear them once or twice a week. I've noticed the heel has always been uncomfortable on them, but today it completely snapped and now there's like plastic/hard farbic or whatever it is that keeps the shoe shape poking out making them very painful and pretty much, unwearable. I paid like 90 euro for these shoes. Am I being a bit of a fucker for considering going to the store to see if they can exchange them? I dunno, I don't expect them to last a lifetime. But I am so annoyed they've broken, especially when they cost so much money and were a big treat to myself. If it was a shitty pair of shoes then fine, but these are special. *sobs* What would you do? " If it wasn't wear and tear then yes do it. Expect some pushback from the shop though. I had an issue with ecco boots I went back 10 weeks the shop tried to fob me off I had to persist. Ecco didn't fight me though, they acknowledged it was a manufacturing fault | |||

I threw mine out as I was having a tidy up but they were still capable to muck around in - the amount of walking I did in them was unbelievable. | |||

"It depends how far you walk when you wear them once or twice a week. I'd contact Converse personally." I would say I do a good 10,000 at minimum most times I've worn them. But that's just on standard pavement not in the rain/beach/muddy fields etc. I'll take them to Schuh and see what they say but I've got a bad feeling they won't be willing to replace them since it has been so long. If they won't help me I'll contact Converse and keep my fingers crossed. ![]() | |||

Some kind of 501 error gateway message kept coming up. I think they are still trading but was only able to find any through independent stores - they do a few leather sneaker type trainers, all the others seemed to be gortex boots and no inbetween | |||

Your contract is with the store where you purchased them so they should deal with the issue for you. If you are looking for a replacement pair then this should be straightforward, if they have a suitable pair available. " This isn’t true. Consumer rights specify no time limits and unless you’re going to take them to court the merchant doesn’t have to do anything. After the merchants returns policy expires, high end brands, far easier to deal with the brand direct | |||
